Kids have trouble with focus and concentration. It’s a fact of life.
It amazes me that more and more children these days are given ridiculous labels like ADD or ADHD, when in fact, they’re just being normal kids. I’m not sure how you feel on the subject, but drugs may lull them into compliant stupor. As a parent I ask the question; Why drug your child when there’s another option available?
Before you diagnose your child with an attention disorder, why not try some of the programs, projects, and videos on this site? They can be accomplished anywhere, anytime and can be repeated for maximum results. Plus, they help children learn to concentrate and focus. They may also help your child “become” smarter and more worldly. Children who can concentrate better, can learn better.
I’d like to close this post by introducing you to a 12 year old who has excelled because of the experiences and training that she went through a young age. She inspires me because I know that her parents spent a lot of time with her completing projects, meeting heroes, and developing her concentration, focus, discipline and leadership over time and plenty of practice.

10 Reasons to Start a PBLT Project this Week!
There are certain things in this world that we simply cannot learn through a discussion or intellectual
conversation. For children, there are some things that we simply can’t explain in easy enough terms without actually showing them through experience.
Focus, Discipline, Respect, Leadership and other life skills cannot be learned by reading about them in a book, they have to be practiced and experienced to truly understand.
Project Based Learning is a great way to immerse yourself (or your child) in a leadership role in your community. This brings me to the top 10 reasons that YOU should be practicing Project Based Learning at home and in your community (outside of school and beyond the classroom)…
Remember that your project does not have to be complicated to be effective.
Every project counts and is important in you reaching a new level of focus, discipline, leadership, and service in your community.

- FAR REACHING
It is our view that project work – particularly group project work – reaches learning outcomes that other teaching methods simply cannot reach - POSITIVE
Everyone (especially children) love to feel challenged and have something to focus their energy on. When they have something positive to focus on, they are not focusing on negative things that will get them in trouble. - FUN
Your project that you start can and should be FUN. Turn it into a game, a challenge. Include your friends and neighbors. If you’re not having fun with this project, you should re-think your project idea. - POWERFUL
When you provide opportunities for children to learn and grow, they will surprise you with their creativity, their ingenuity, their imagination, and their ability to get things done. - GREEN
Many projects can really help our earth by focusing on environmental self defense. Sustainable projects that help conserve energy and clean our earth up will help children grow to be responsible adults. - COMMUNITY
When you (and your children) go out into the community and complete a simple project, you are leading by example. Your project will inspire others to take action as well. For children, spending time in the community taking action will help to instill life skills that will create a sense of community and service that will stay with them for life. - SERVICE
Project Based Leadership Training (PBLT) is a great way to develop a service minded attitude. Many activities begin to instill a sense of service above self. Children and adults get to experience how to achieve their goals by helping others achieve theirs first. - FAMILY
Completing a project in your community is a great way to spend time with your family. Family time is incredibly important for your child’s growth. In today’s busy world, sitting down and completing a project with the family is incredibly important in building a strong family bond. - FOCUS/DISCIPLINE
When we can set clear goals and focus like a laser beam to achieve them, we are practicing focus, concentration, discipline, self control and many other important skills all while helping our community - LEADERSHIP
Project Based LEADERSHIP Training is designed to develop Leadership skills. Leadership after all is the most sought after skill in the world, it’s the most precious commodity on earth. EVERYONE is looking for real leadership and YOU can begin to develop those skills for your future. Your project will help you experience leadership by immersing yourself (and your children) in a leadership role focused on getting results with your team.
Remember that your project does not have to be complicated to be effective.
Every project counts and is important in you reaching a new level of focus, discipline, leadership, and service in your community.
